At Studio 44, we offer three core and 3 specialist class styles so you can personalise your workout schedule and get the most out of your practice.
Whether you're building strength, improving flexibility, or energising your body with a quick, powerful session – you can mix and match the class styles that best suit your goals, lifestyle and compliment other activities.
All of our classes are built upon the foundations of Pilates, combining mindful movement, breath-work, and core control to support long-term strength, mobility, and well-being.
Reformer Foundation
(Beginner & New to Pilates)
These classes are best suited for first time clients, those new to Pilates and those looking to perfect the foundations. They are an educational space where you’ll master correct form, breath, foundational Reformer movements and coordination.
For first time clients please arrive 10 mins before to get a full induction of the Reformer equiptment.
44 Strong
This reformer class combines dynamic strength training, jump board cardio bursts, and targeted resistance work using weights. Designed to challenge your endurance, sculpt your muscles, and elevate your heart rate. This class is not suitable for beginners and first time clients.
Mums & Bubs
Choose from Mums and Bubs Reformer (Chichester) and Mums on Mats (Southsea) too find some time for you. Bring your (non-mobile) baby and join our judgement free class where your experienced Antenatal instructor will take you through a pregnancy & post partum freimdly workout. Please note that pram space is limited so where possible bring a carrier.
Mixed Levels
This class is designed for a range of experience levels. Instructors will offer progressions, options and modifications so you can work at your own pace. We understand that our bodies can be different every day, so Mixed levels creates a space wher you can practice whatever way works best for you on the day. First time clients are advised to attend Foundations classes before booking at Mixed levels.
44 Flex
Our Reformer Flex classes focus on mobility, stretching, and breathing. They’re important for recovery from high-intensity workouts like running, and offer a great way to connect with your body and relax. This class is not suitable for first time clients.
Intermediate
For those confident with the basics and ready to deepen their practice and challenge themselves. This class moves at a faster pace and introduces more complex exercises and higher resistance. It’s designed to challenge coordination, stamina, and strength while maintaining precision and control. This class is not suitable for beginners and first time clients.
Mat
(Southsea only)
Our Mat Pilates class blends core strengthening and low impact mat classical principles. Mat Pilates builds on the core foundations of the Pilates priciples, but don’t be fooled, this work out is not the easy option. Focused on utilising body weight not springs Mat builds stability and alignment in a whole new way.
